My work is about discomfort. Using found materials, plaster, textiles, and wood– I make humanoid forms that are contorted and manipulated to replicate the

sensation of being squeezed. The work is humorous with clumsy bulbous forms and recycled

objects– bean bag chairs, shoes and hair– to give human-like qualities in objects that are

seemingly abstract. Whether its performance, sculptures or painting each piece is a precarious representation of tension with no sign

of release.
